Synopsis:

“Gosford Park meets Groundhog Day by way of Agatha Christie and Black Mirror – the most inventive story you'll read this year

Tonight, Evelyn Hardcastle will be killed ... Again

It is meant to be a celebration but it ends in tragedy. As fireworks explode overhead, Evelyn Hardcastle, the young and beautiful daughter of the house, is killed.

But Evelyn will not die just once. Until Aiden – one of the guests summoned to Blackheath for the party – can solve her murder, the day will repeat itself, over and over again. Every time ending with the fateful pistol shot.

The only way to break this cycle is to identify the killer. But each time the day begins again, Aiden wakes in the body of a different guest. And someone is determined to prevent him ever escaping Blackheath...”

Review:

I had this book sat on my shelves for months and I FINALLY caved in and read it as a Buddy Read.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like it at first as I had heard really mixes reviews. Lots of people saying it was difficult to follow and very confusing.

I actually ended up giving this book 5 STARS. I absolutely loved it.

The plot is almost impossible to summarise, there were so many twists and turns and the premise of the whole thing was so original.

I really enjoyed Stuart's writing style, which led to me to really grow attached to the characters.

The development throughout the novel was fantastic and I did not see that ending coming. There was no way I could have guessed that. The perfect ending to a intricate and will thought out book.

Loved it, would definitely recommend.
